Since the massive, $15 million Youngsville Sports Complex opened late last month the facility has been busy hosting camps, tournaments, and a variety of other activities for young athletes and Youngsville residents alike. The complex will be busy again this weekend hosting a USSSA  baseball tournament with over 60 teams, and the LA Pride Softball Tournament with over 20 teams, many of them from out-of-state.

Both tournaments will be going on simultaneously, not to mention the south side soccer league games and the tennis camps.

Tim Robichaux, twin brother of UL-Lafayette head baseball coach Tony Robichaux and director of the Youngsville Sports Complex, said that with each tournament their learning more and more about the nuisances of running a large athletic facility, right now it looks like the sports complex is turning out to be a large success for Youngsville.
