ZACHARY, LA (NBC33) — Hard work is paying off for students at Zachary Elementary School.

The students saw a video showing the effects of Hurricane Isaac on Ponchartrain Elementary School; Ponchartrian students are now all over the parish as officials work to rebuild the school.

Students and teachers at Zachary Elementary were so moved by these pictures that they've raised $3,000 to help the students and teachers of Ponchartrain Elementary.

They've sent their check over to St. John the Baptist Parish to help out however they can.
