Nightclub permit undecided by council

The downtown nightclub Karma has had its alcohol permit suspended for 3 days. The city-parish council delayed a decision Tuesday on whether that permit should be revoked for 2 years.

Firefighter resigns amid allegations

One person shot in home invasion

On August 27, 2010, at approximately 1:30 am, three suspects entered a residence in the 100 block of Delord Street armed with handguns. The male victim (34) in the residence was struck in the back of the head and bound with tape.

Ft. Polk brigade heading to Afghanistan
