Numerous churches around Acadiana hosted collection sites, drop-off locations, including East Bayou Church, Covenant Baptist Church, Family Life Church, and Bethel Ministries.  Millions of people across the US alongside Acadiana have been filling shoe boxes with gifts for 9.1 million suffering children around the world.  Erin Greneaux, a volunteer and member of East Bayou Baptist, was a volunteer last year as well.  East Bayou church was able to take a mission trip to Guana to deliver the shoe boxes, and Erin was able to be there as the children received their gifts.

"Just to see the look on those childrens' faces, it makes it all worth while to come back and do the process all over again the next year."--Erin Greneaux

This year Operation Christmas Child was able to reach a milestone, collecting and delivering shoe boxes to more than 100 million children since the project began in 1993.
