Every spring, professional golfers come to Acadiana to tee up for the Louisiana Open golf tournment at Le Triomphe golf club. The winning golfer walks away with a big pile of cash -- but there's not just one winner.
Fifty different local and regional charities and youth groups walk away with checks, money that makes a big difference for groups aiming to make a big difference in their communities.
The event has been around for 2 decades, and has contributed more than 4 million dollars to area charities. Next year's LA Open is scheduled just before Easter: March 14th through the 17th.
