Cajun softball team ready for Women's College World Series

KADN Staff
Monday, May 26, 2014 - 4:10pm

It's a great time to be a Ragin Cajun fan. Over the weekend, the UL softball team soundly defeated the eight time national champion Arizona Wildcats before an overflow crowd at Lamson Park. Winning this super regional now will send the girls to the NCAA college world series. Beating the legendary Arizona two out of three was impressive and the head coaches of the two respective universities talked to the media after the tournament. The team will leave tomorrow heading to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma .

This is the sixth time in UL softball history to play in the world series. Their first opponent will be the Kentucky Wildcats this Friday night at 6p as the Ragin Cajuns advance to the women's college world series.
