The Ragin Cajun baseball team has made it to the super regional round of the NCAA college baseball post season after beating the Mississippi State Bulldogs last night 5-3, and in doing so are one step closer to reaching the College World Series in Omaha. UL is the only university in Louisiana still in contention after LSU's loss to Houston last night in the Baton Rouge Regional.

The big factor for both the Bulldogs and the Cajuns last night was the crowd. Both head coaches talked about the crowd factor and how it affected the outcome of the Lafayette regional. The Cajuns will face Ole Miss (Mississippi) in the super regional round in Lafayette this upcoming weekend at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

The first game will be Saturday 7pm. The winner of this best out of three series will head to Omaha for the NCAA College World Series. All games will be aired on ESPN 2.
