Cajuns Softball continues winning ways

KADN Staff
Monday, May 19, 2014 - 4:46pm

What a great weekend for Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns! The men and women won all three of their games, UL baseball swept Ul Monroe in three games to wrap up the regular season in style. Meanwhile the UL softball team made it a clean sweep by winning all three including defeating the Texas Longhorns yesterday 10 to 1 to win the NCAA regional championship before a packed house of loud cajun fans at Lamson Park.

Next up is the super regional that is also here in Lafayette. Head coach Michael Lotief and his young team are on a roll and he knows this is a special team.

The Cajun women will now advance to host the top program in softball history, the University of Arizona will come to town this friday in the NCAA super regional at Lamson Park. It's the first super regional ever to be held in Lafayette. Better get your tickets now for this showdown. Tickets on sale at the caundome box office.
