Coming off of last week’s upset win over instate rival, Louisiana Monroe, the Ragin’ Cajuns look to upset an even greater foe, the No. 6 Florida Gators.
The Cajuns and Gators have met four times in their respective football history, with Florida capturing all four contests.
Florida possesses an outstanding defense, fifth in the nation, holding opponents to less than 287 yards a game. The Gator offense is a different story, ranking 102 of 120 in total offense, and 114 of 120 in total passing offense. Sources predict, the Gator offense will try to improve upon their passing game this week against the Cajuns, who are a dismal 118 of 120 FBS teams in pass defense.
In order for a possible upset to occur, the 27-point underdogs will need to continue producing through the ground and air as they did against the Warhawks last week. If the Cajun defense can hold against Florida’s sputtering offense, look for the Cajuns to be in a dog fight in fourth quarter.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 10 beginning at 12:21 p.m. EST at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
