Saints lose to Broncos 34-14

Monday, October 29, 2012 - 7:50pm

The New Orleans Saints lost 34-14 to the Denver Broncos this Sunday, making their record for this season 2-5.

Joe Vitt's return as interim head coach was expected to help the Black and Gold recover from a slump, but neither Vitt's coaching nor a bye week's worth of rest was able to prevent a loss. Their usually potent offense sputtered. Worse, their defense broke the wrong kind of record. In the start of this season, they've yielded more yards to opposing offenses than any other team in NFL history.

Vitt was disappointed, saying, "I know that I have to prepare them better to play in a game like this."

The Saints return home to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
