Ragin Cajuns happy to be at Lamson Park

KADN Staff
Wednesday, May 14, 2014 - 5:23pm

The spring semester is over. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus is pretty much a ghost town. It's vaction time for most students right now, but not for the Ragin Cajun softball team. Those ladies are still working hard at Lamson Park. Last week, after winning the Sun Belt tournament in dramatic style over South Alabama, now this week UL is hosting the NCAA Regional Championship which brings in tough teams like Texas, Mississippi State and Texas Southern.

So, even though some students are vactioning on a pretty beach somewhere, that's okay the Cajun softball team is happy right where they are; where they wanna be, getting ready for more softball!  Ragin Cajun fans will most likely pack Lamson Park with a sea of red color's this Friday as the NCAA action starts with Texas playing Mississippi State at 3pm, and then UL will play Texas Southern Friday at 6pm. Tickets on sale now at the Cajundome box office.
