The Ragin’ Cajun Softball team once again displayed its sheer dominance of the Sunbelt Conference. After sweeping Western Kentucky this weekend, the team picked up its 11th regular season Sun Belt Conference title in the league’s 12-year existence. UL improved to 44-2 overall, and 19-2 in conference play

.
The Cajuns look to accomplish their next feat by living up to their motto, “protecting the house” this weekend at home vs La-Monroe. If the ladies sweep the War Hawks, they will complete a perfect home record of 27-0.

Some may remember last fall, when head football coach, Mark Hudspeth set out on a similar quest to “protect the house”, making Cajun Field the hardest place to play in the conference. The Cajuns completed that task after their thrilling win over La-Monroe, finalizing their home record at 5-0.

First pitch of Saturday’s double-header is set for 1:00 p.m., with the home finale set for Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
