Comfort Inn death

Lafayette police are investigating a death at the Comfort Inn motel on Evangeline and Pinhook.

Police say 31-year-old Scott Halter of Oregon, was found dead in his room Friday afternoon.

A coroner's report says halter died from a head wound.

Police say he was allegedly in a fight at oasis bar, Thursday night.
