Both candidates Still Working Hard on their Campaigns
Lafayette, LA (KADN) — Campaigning for the run-off between Representatives Boustany and Landry has already begun; in fact, it never stopped. We met up with both congressmen to see how they each felt about the election, and what the next steps of their campaigning will entail.
"Well I'm feeling really good about it. We finished with a very strong first place finish. We're in a solid position to win this thing December 8."--Congressman Boustany
"The results of the election; it's a brand new election. It's a brand new, its like a football game you know. After half-time, play another two quarters -- and that's what we have to do December 8. Thats where we're at."--Congressman Landry
"We're gonna focus on our positive message and we're gonna focus on my achievements and the fact that I offer conservative leadership that gets real results and solutions to the problems that families around the kitchen table are facing."--Congressman Boustany
"We're going out there and spreading the message to the people here in southwest Louisiana. [We want to]] make them understand how, more than ever, it's important that we have true conservatives in Washington."--Congressman Landry
Both candidates said that since the election, they have not taken a break. They have both been hard at work making phone calls and having fundraisers for their campaign. They each stress how important the run-off is, and that your vote is extremely important on December 8th.
