Toys for Tots Benefit
Lafayette Music Hosts Event with Special Guest
November 21, 2012 — Acadiana native Tracy Broussard, who now plays drums for country superstar Blake Shelton, returned to Acadiana to tell his inspirational story in a drum clinic and motivational event, which benefited Toys for Tots. The coordinators of this event were astounded at the overwhelming turn out when last night's "Druminar" began.
"We're so excited because Tracy came up with the idea, he and I are old classmates from Acadiana High from years ago, and he said I'd like to come in and do a seminar and I'd like to benefit something and we came up with the idea for toys for tots and so entry is free with an unopened new toy for Toys for Tots."--Raymond Goodrich--President of Lafayette Music
At the start of the "druminar" Goodrich said they had already collected hundreds of toys and Lafayette Music couldn't be more excited. Broussard performed musical selections from Shelton's live show and Trypta-Phunk's album. The integration of life lessons, stories from the road, and playing examples had something for the musician and non-musician alike while supporting an amazing cause.
