Voter Turnout

Extremely Large Voter Turnout
November 6, 2012 — Poll commissioners at Lafayette's 88th precinct were shocked to see lines of voters waiting for the polls to open this morning. Janice Lafleur, a poll commissioner for many years, says that compared to presidential elections in the past this year has an extremely large turnout.
"So far voter turnout has been excellent it's a lot greater than usual and I am amazed that voters are patient and courteous and well prepared."--Janice Lafleur
LaFleur says the commissioners did a vote count at 9 o'clock this morning and there were as many votes in the first two hours as there usually are by noon from the past elections.
