During the early morning hours of Friday, August 10, 2018, the Copper Meadows Subdivision in Youngsville, LA was struck again by vehicle burglars.
At approximately 3:02 a.m., Patrol Officers from the Youngsville Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Brook Hill Drive in reference to three suspicious males walking around the neighborhood. The caller advised law enforcement that the last location he observed the suspects were on Sweetwater Creek. Responding Officers responded to that location and upon arriving in the area made visual contact with the three suspects. Officers identified themselves and instructed the suspects to stop. Instead of complying with Officers command to stop, all three suspects proceeded to run from the Officers. A foot pursuit ensued and shortly thereafter, two of the suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. One suspect remained at large.
Detectives from the Youngsville Police Department were called out to assist the Patrol Division. At approximately 1:30 a.m., the third suspect was located on Lafayette Street in Youngsville, LA and was taken into custody without incident. The case continued to be worked by Detectives and Officers of the Youngsville Police Department with assistance from Deputies from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of the investigation conducted, all three suspects were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
The suspects are identified as:
Isaiah Martin Aspen Jean-Batiste Holden Kane Jules Guidry
All three suspects have been charged with several vehicle burglaries, resisting officers by flight, simple criminal damage to property, simple possession of marijuana, theft of a firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm.
In addition to clearing cases in the City of Youngsville, this investigation has also cleared vehicle burglaries that occurred in the City of Broussard.
The investigation is ongoing at this with the hopes of clearing more cases and possibly making more arrest.
