Today expect additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms as an area of low pressure to our north will bring in a surge of tropical moisture from the Gulf of Mexico into Acadiana. An additional 2″+ of rain is possible for some areas, along with localized flooding. High temperatures will top out around 90 degrees with high humidity. Showers should start winding down overnight into early Saturday. During the day Saturday we’ll see mostly cloudy skies with occasional peeks of sunshine. Big changes coming next week as a cold front pushes through and lowers our high temps to the upper 80s with overnight lows possibly dipping into the upper 60s! Have a great weekend Acadiana.
