On and Off Rain This Week, Cold Front, too

Video Forecast

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a few showers after midnight. Lo: 65.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Hi: 83.
Tuesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. More clouds than sun. Hi: 87.

The heat and humidity are returning to Acadiana tonight into next week. Look for a southerly flow off the Gulf of Mexico and showers with thunderstorms to develop. The rain will be on and off through Wednesday as a cold front moves through. A much drier day will be in place for Thursday, but more rain is expected for Friday into the weekend as a warm front pushes back north through Louisiana.
There are 3 areas to watch in the Tropics. The first two have a 20% chance of development through 5 days. The last area is coming off the African coast and has a medium chance to form in the next 5 days or less. At this time none pose any threats to our area.
