Scott Police officers responded to the 100 block of Perez Drive Monday afternoon in reference to a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers approached Christopher Delahoussaye, who was sitting outside of his residence. During the investigation of the incident, Delahoussaye refused to comply with any of the officers and began to resist the officers.
The officers detained Delahoussaye, who continued to make various threats towards the officers and was observed striking his head against the window of the police unit.
While officers were in the process of detaining Delahoussaye, Billy Jo Delahoussaye, his wife, became irate and argumentative with the officers. While attempting to gain information for their investigation, Billy Jo Delahoussaye used her forearm to strike an officer.
Billy Jo Delahoussaye was detained for her actions and began resisting officers as well. While she was detained and in the rear of the police unit, Billy Jo Delahoussaye was able to free her hands from handcuffs and began striking the window of the police unit.
When officers removed her to re-apply handcuffs, Billy Jo Delahoussaye refused and began to fight with them. Billy Jo Delahoussaye was then handcuffed a second time. Billy Jo Delahoussaye struck the window of the police unit several times before additional restraints were used to restrain her.
Christopher and Billy Jo Delahoussaye were transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for booking. Christopher Delahoussaye was charged with Resisting an Officer, Public Intimidation, and Self-Mutilation by a Prisoner. Billy Jo Delahoussaye was charged with Resisting an Officer, Simple Escape, Self-Mutilation by a Prisoner, and Battery of a Police Officer.
