Sunday: Sunny, very hot and dry. Hi: 97. Feels like 100-105.
Next week will feature the ridge of high pressure breaking down and that means isolated to scattered thunderstorms returning by mid week. Before that it will be very hot with tolerable humidity. However, more humid weather comes back to Acadiana as we get into next week. There are no tropical systems threatening the Gulf of Mexico at this time, but that could change in the next week or two. September 10 is the peak of the Hurricane season.
