Acadia General Hospital unveiled the start of their emergency room expansion project. The current ER was meant to see 600 people a month but right now they see about 18-hundred patients a month. The $4 million dollar project will take around 300 days to complete. The hospital says the project will be worth the wait for patients and staff.
Joe Mitchel, CEO of Acadia General Hospital said, “It’s important to give them the proper tools to be able to care for the patients in a way I think that the community needs and desires so making a nice improvement to the emergency room I think is something that we’ve heard from the community that this is what they want and what they need.”
