(WTMJ) A monastery turned migrant shelter in Tucson, Arizona says it went to full capacity this weekend because of the growing number of families seeking asylum.
Catholic Community Services said it’s currently helping 480 migrant families. On Sunday, volunteers had to turn away 80 people because of a lack of space.
Religious leaders are calling on community members to volunteer at the shelter, and to donate items to help those in need.
