The heat and humidity will return to Acadiana tomorrow through the end of the week with a southerly flow. Look for a stronger cold front to approach from the west on Friday and scattered thunderstorms to develop. Once the front moves through we will see much lower humidity and cooler temperatures to start the weekend. However, it will be short-lived as heat returns back to the weather picture as we end the weekend and start a new week.
There are 3 areas to watch in the Tropics at this time. They are all in the Atlantic Ocean. 2 of the 3 have a medium chance for development through 5 days. None of them are forecast to make it into the Gulf.
