Big Changes This Weekend, More Rain Next Week

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms ending around midnight. Windy. Lo: 59.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy and chilly. Breezy. Hi: 70.
Sunday: Partly sunny and mild. Showers late. Hi: 82.
A strong cold front will move through the Gulf Coast tonight. The wind will pick up and showers and thunderstorms will end overnight. However, with a strong northerly wind component and plenty of clouds the temp will no rise much tomorrow. Many locations in Acadiana will struggle to get out of the 60s for highs. Look for some sun on Sunday as the wind shifts out of the southeast and more humid air is pumped back into the region. An on and off showery pattern develops for the start of next week with another cold front approaching for Wednesday. Tropical moisture could move into our area from the Gulf on Friday.

Subtropical storm Melissa was named earlier today and poses no threat to our area. However, late next week we could see tropical impacts from a disturbance moving through the Gulf. Stay tuned.
