Cajuns Men’s Basketball Team Prepares for Georgia State

Lafayette, LA (KADN)– The Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball team is trying to build off the momentum of last week’s buzzer beating win against UTA. However, the Cajuns still have plenty of work to do. Bob Marlin’s club is just 4-8 in Sun Belt play. Only the top 10 teams make the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Cajuns are in 2nd to last place in front of ULM. It is a great chance to right the ship against Georgia State on Thursday.

“We are motivated to win every time we take the court,” Ragin’ Cajuns Basketball Coach Bob Marlin said. “We have had a good rivalry with Georgia State. They have had the upper-hand in that most of the time. This is one we need to get.”

The Thursday evening match-up against Georgia State is the White Out Game at the Cajuns Dome. The athletic department is asking fans to give $5 towards the #Gimme5 campaign. The proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society in its fight against pediatric cancer. Head coach Bob Marlin is pledging $100 for every 3-pointer made by the Ragin’ Cajuns in the game. Each fan that donates receives a white shirt.
