Lafayette, LA (KADN) — A (7-7) record didn’t start a parade march for the Ragin’ Cajuns football team. They are grateful to make the Sun Belt Conference title game in head coach Billy Napier’s first season, but they are far from satisfied with how the season ended. The Ragin’ Cajuns wanted to win it. Now, they start of the 2019 season against Mississippi State and they are determined to start off with a win. They are prepared for a physical battle in the trenches.
“Looking from the quarterback position, its good to be good around him,” offensive coordinator Rob Sale said. ” I feel like we have a pretty good offensive line, and the tight ends are deep and we have a couple of quarterbacks that can do it.”
Appalachian State won the Sun Belt title game over the Ragin’ Cajuns 30-19. The Ragin’ Cajuns game against Mississippi State is slated for August 31st in the Superdome in New Orleans at 11am.
