Carencro Football: The Summer Sacrifice

Lafayette, LA (KADN) — After three fumbles and a first-round playoff loss to Assumption, the Carencro Bears are determined to have a better football season in 2019. Head Coach Tony Courville is pleased with his team’s participation in summer workouts. He calls it summer sacrifice. To become a more successful football team the Bears need to eliminate their self inflicted wounds like the three fumbles they had in the 8-6 playoff loss to Assumption.

“It started in the offseason where I thought this team could be kind of a special team because of their work ethic,” Courville said. “We talk about strain and finish in everything you are doing and that’s what they are doing right now.”

Carencro opens the season against Acadiana on September 6th.
