On May 17, 2017 at approximately 11: 58 PM, Officers with the Carencro Police Department were advised of a social media post circulating advising students of Carencro High School not to go to school on May 18, 2017, that a student who was bullied threatened to shoot up the school.
Officers began investigating the information and implemented several safety procedures prior to school hours. Officers identified the student who reportedly made the threats and verified the student was not and was not going to be on campus on this date.
While several officers remained at the school, Carencro Police Detectives located the student at his residence and after meeting with the student and the students’ parents the juvenile student was arrested on the charge of terrorizing and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
Due to the suspects age no personal information will be released.
