Church Point Police Arrest Three for Possession of Stolen Goods

The Church Point Police Department conducted several more arrest from investigations into recent burglaries. These arrest are associated with burglaries of residence and vehicles and also for individuals which possessed these items stolen from these burglaries. More arrest are pending. Chief Dale Thibodeaux say the police department investigates all thefts no matter how big or small and will continue to do so. He says it may take time to conduct an investigation properly to build a strong court case for prosecution. If an investigation reveals that you are in possession of stolen property you will be charged. If you have purchased anything and think it could be stolen, Chief Thibodeaux ask that you go to the police department where they will check it against a list of stolen items. If the item is not stolen it is returned to you. If the item is stolen, you will not be charged due to the fact you did not know it was stolen and did try to verify that. All suspects were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail to await bond.
