Video Forecast

Tomorrow will be a transition weather day for Acadiana. A cold front will approach from the northwest and bring showers and thunderstorms to the region during the afternoon. A low end severe threat is expected. Tailgating at the high school football games could be affected, but the rain should wind down around kickoff. The wind will pick up out of the west and northwest and it will be breezy early Saturday. Gusts will be at or more than 25 mph at times. Election Day will be dry and cool with highs in the 70s. The cool weather will be short-lived as a return flow off the Gulf gives us a warmer Sunday and a much warmer next week with highs going above average once again. Another cold front could advance through the region by late next week to cool us off.

There is only one area to watch in the Tropics. The Atlantic Ocean has one tropical wave with a very small chance of development off the East Coast of the US. It will bring rain and wind to southern New England.
