Winter is returning to Acadiana as a cold front works its way through the region. As rain ends Saturday evening clouds will begin to thin out as drier and colder air works in to Acadiana. High pressure will stream in colder air from the north for several days leading to temperatures below average for this time of year. Lows will be in the 30’s with a frost and freeze possible Tuesday morning. Highs will be in the lower 50’s through midweek. Turning towards the end of the week southerly flow returns warming us up a little bit ahead of an approaching cold front that looks to bring the chance of showers and storms later on in the week.
