Cold Weather Expected to Start Out the Week

Tonight: 40° clear.

Tomorrow: 58° Mostly Sunny

Tuesday: Low: 36° clear sky. High:62° Mostly Sunny.

After the passage of the cold front on Saturday night our winds have shifted from the N/NW. This has begun the process of cooler air moving into the region. This will allow for temperatures below average for this time of year on Monday with highs likely reaching the upper 50’s across Acadiana. The overnight low on Monday night is looking like the mid 30’s for Lafayette although I wouldn’t be surprised to see some towns get closer to freezing. We do moderate things pretty quickly though as high pressure in the region begins to move towards the east. We are back into the 70’s by Thursday which is right before our next chance of rain which moves in on Friday in the form of a Low Pressure system.
