A Wind Advisory is in effect for Lafayette, Acadia, Vermillion, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Iberia Parishes until 9PM.
A strong cold front will be moving through early this morning and will drop our temperatures from the lower 70’s this morning to the lower 50’s this afternoon. Along with this temperature drop showers will be present throughout the day along with strong winds coming from the North at 15-20 mph. As we go into the overnight temperatures will range in the lower 40’s to upper 30’s as you go farther inland. Wednesday will not warm up very much with highs in the upper 50’s with Partly cloudy conditions. We see clouds move back as we head towards the end of the week along with warmer temperatures. Rain is expected to our East on Friday due to a low pressure forming along the coast but have decided to keep Acadiana dry for now. We finally get back into the 70’s by the end of the weekend/early next week as our next possible system moves into the area.
