According to the Lafayette Fire Department the school has passed the air quality check and students have returned to class.
ORIGINAL STORY (9:30AM)
A construction company working near Comeaux High School was doing roof work when one of their trailers tipped over a propane tank which began to release gas. The leaking tank has been contained according to the Lafayette Fire Department.
A light smell of gas was detected inside the school leading LPSS and Comeaux staff to take precaution and evacuating students into the gym. Lafayette Fire Department is currently checking air quality and once cleared students will be allowed to return.
