It’s been another chilly start to the day with all the area falling into the 30s and some patchy frost too. This afternoon, winds will switch out of the south and that will bring in moisture to Acadiana. This afternoon will see highs in the lower 60s with partly cloudy skies at times. This evening, clouds continue to increase and our overnight temperatures reach the mid 40s with higher dewpoints. A quick moving system will shift winds back out of the north tomorrow morning. Even with the northerly wind flow, afternoon temperatures will reach the 70 degree mark Wednesday afternoon.
Today: A few afternoon clouds. Cool. High: 60°
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Cold. Low: 45°

Warmer temperatures return Thursday and humidity increases ahead of our next rain producer. This system moves through overnight Thursday into Friday morning. We will see mainly rain showers, but a rumble of thunder can’t be ruled out. Behind this system, slightly cooler and drier air returns for Saturday. Warmth and humidity returns for Sunday with a stray shower possible in the afternoon. Highs for the weekend will top out in the upper 60s Saturday and lower 70s Sunday. By Monday, strong, southerly winds return along with moisture from the Gulf. Spotty showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon Monday, with highs in the upper 70s.
