Countdown to Impeachment

(NBC News) Starting Wednesday House Democrats will build their case that President Trump deserves impeachment as public hearings begin.
The top U.S. Envoy in Ukraine, William Taylor, will be the first to testify. He’s expected to repeat his private testimony that the president froze military aid to Ukraine to force the country to publicly commit to investigating former Vice President Joe Biden, which would benefit President Trump as he runs for reelection in 2020.
Top State Department official George Kent will also testify. He’s expected to describe a shadow Ukraine policy orchestrated by Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani on the president’s behalf.
On Friday, former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch is expected to testify Giuliani spread false rumors about her in order to remove her from her post.
Republicans will argue President Trump was trying to expose corruption, and that Ukraine did get its military aid without starting investigations.
They’re demanding testimony from Hunter Biden and the whistleblower who first sounded the alarm.

His supporters are reportedly quite worried, and mounting an aggressive defense to protect his presidency.
