Breaux Bridge, LA (KADN) — The Crawfish Festival isn’t the only party in Breaux Bridge. The baseball team is pushing to extend its postseason run past the quarterfinals and earn a trip to Sulphur. The Tigers take on Pearl River in a three-game series beginning Friday at 6pm.
“They are very very sound and they aren’t going to beat themselves,” Breaux Bridge baseball coach Kyle Cormier said. “They are going to do all the right things and make the routine plays and pitch well.”
Breaux Bridge lost in a tight series to Benton in the quarterfinals last season. The prior two years, the Tigers made the state semifinals. Saturday’s games are scheduled for 1 pm and game three will follow if necessary. The Breaux Bridge baseball team was in the front row for the basketball team’s state title in March.
