A Crowley man is behind bars today after a search warrant lead to the seizure of a firearm, marijuana and prescription drugs.
Wednesday agents with the Crowley Police Narcotics Division and the Patrol Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Joseph Pete Street in the City of Crowley.
Once inside the residence, agents located a Glock .40 caliber handgun and a large amount of high grade marijuana. Some of the marijuana was also in one ounce baggies as if they were being prepared for sale.
Agents also located oxycodone pills and several scales believed to be used to weigh out the marijuana.
Christopher James George, age 30, was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I; Possession of Schedule II; Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance; and, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Acadia Parish Jail Facility.
