Unprecedented weather event for the Florida Panhandle today. Hurricane Michael roared ashore as a strong Category 4 Hurricane on the brink of Category 5 intensity. Max winds of 155mph at landfall. Based on pressure, Michael made landfall with a lower pressure than both Andrew and Katrina. This system will continue to wreak havoc through Georgia, south Alabama, and up the Mid Atlantic as well.
Back at home…our saving grace from this system was a COLD FRONT! This frontal boundary is knocking on our door step this evening, and lower humidity and cooler temps are beginning to move in!
Tomorrow morning: Most spots waking up to temperatures in the upper 50s to the low 60s!
Thursday-Saturday: GORGEOUS! High temps in the upper 70s to near 80. Low humidity & north breeze. Mostly sunny skies & near perfection. Low temperatures in the middle 50s! So quite chilly in the overnights.
Brief warm up Sunday into early Monday…before another cold front on Monday night!
