Lafayette, LA (KADN) — After both winning state titles last season, Lafayette Christian and Notre Dame will now have to face each other in the same district. Lafayette Christian moves up to 2A next football season. The championship teams also have to deal with another former state champion– Welsh. The Greyhounds won the 2017 state title. Lafayette Christian head Coach Trev Faulk knows wins will come at a premium.
“Really difficult,” Faulk said. “You have three schools that have won state championships between Welsh, Notre Dame and ourselves so we are looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead. We try to be as good as we can every year. Just work to try to improve and be ready to go once the season rolls around.”
The other teams in the district are Port Barre and Lake Arthur.
