Dry Mardi Gras Day, Then Winter Returns

Video Forecast

Tonight: Cloudy with rain ending this evening. Mild. Lo: 54.

Tomorrow: Sun and clouds mixed with mild temps and dry conditions. Hi: 68.
Wednesday: Windy and cold with a brief morning shower at most. Sunny sky. Hi: 55.

A cold front will move through Acadiana tonight with showers ending early this evening. However, it won’t be until Wednesday for the cold air to rush in from the north. The Mardi Gras parades tonight and tomorrow will be dry and relatively mild for this time of the year. Look for windy and cold conditions to move into the region by midweek. Wind chills will dip into the mid to upper 20s for all of us on Thursday morning. The good news is that the sky will clear and plenty of sunshine is expected for the rest of the week. There will be a slight moderating trend for temps by the weekend with a return to the 60s area-wide. Except for a brief shower at best early on Wednesday you can expect dry conditions through the weekend as we end February on a dry note.
