Cow Island LIVE! Music Festival Date & Lineup
November 23, 2019
The most unique music festival in south Louisiana celebrates its 4th year with a local lineup this fall.
ABBEVILLE, LOUISIANA. November 8, 2019–We are excited to be hosting this year’s festival on Saturday, November 23rd in Cow Island, Louisiana.
Our eight-band lineup includes some of the most talented musicians around. Local singer songwriter favorite Mike Dean will be the headlining act to close out almost twelve hours of music.
Our full lineup includes:
Ethan Hunt Band (Soul) This group of young musicians brings a Ray Charles/Otis Redding feel to their performance. Ethan released his latest album “Cruel” this year which has won them Song of the Year at the Josie Music Awards.
Highway 691 Band (Honkytonk/Country) Stephen Sagrera and his band have made a place for themselves on the local music scene of Vermilion Parish. They cover country hits and frontman Stephen Sagrera has often been mistaken for George Strait. Stephen has written and recorded a few original songs of his own, including his latest release “Shoeshine Man.”
DG & The Freetown Sound (Funk/Soul/Groove) DG & The Freetown Sound is a band you won’t be able to watch sitting down. Dustin Gaspard prides himself on the conviction of live performance, strengthening through cryptic lyricism and an always evolving singer-songwriting style. Their original songs are stacked with bighorn hits and dancing electric guitars. The upbeat rhythms meld punching drum grooves and thumping bass, keeping audiences on their feet.
Jaryd Lane (Country/Southern Rock) – Jaryd Lane is a phenomenal singer-songwriter. He connects to ordinary working people through lyrics that make a simple testament to their dreams, aspirations, and hopes. He’s gained respect from music lovers who range from rock to country blues.
Lane Mack & The Balladeers (Country/Swamp Rock) – Lane Mack comes alive on stage. He’s definitely one you don’t want to miss. Lane owns the stage with his masterful guitar licks and a vocal range that surpasses most. Lane and his band will set the vibe crowd volume to 11 and have every member of the crowd singing along to his songs.
Troy Richard & Richard Revue (Roots/Rock/Southern Folk) Richard’s songs are an eclectic mix of experiences growing up on the muddy Bayou’s of South Louisiana and his love of life in Sunset, LA. His sound embodies roots rock, country, blues and somewhere in there, you’ll find a hint of Cajun. His storytelling will bring you back in time to nostalgic memories or to places you’ll long to travel.
The Captain Legendary Band (Southern Rock/Country) – “Waylon Jennings meets Lynyrd Skynyrd” that’s how these guys have been described. The Captain Legendary Band blends several elements of roots American music, Southern Rock and Classic Country. Theirs is a performance you’ll not want to miss.
Mike Dean (Americana/Country) Fellow Lafayette troubadour Dege Legg once described Dean and the gang as “George Jones meets Crazy Horse.” Longtime friend and bass player of Mike Dean puts it this way “nothing fancy, no gimmicks. Just words and music from a man who has been there and done that.” Relatable lyrics that capture the true art of storytelling, Mike has a way of naturally connecting with the audience and leaving a lasting impression.
