******************************COLDEST TEMPS SINCE MID JANUARY 2018********************************
The wind will less significantly tonight, but the temperature will drop into the 20s for all of Acadiana. That’s why Hard Freeze and Freeze warnings are up for the entire viewing area. After 8 o’clock tonight look for the temp to drop below freezing for most of Acadiana except the immediate coast. Wake-up temps tomorrow will not get above freezing until around 9 a.m. and there won’t be too much of a warm-up in the afternoon with only around 50 for a high. Clouds will then be on the increase late tomorrow in advance of the next storm headed our way. A weak area of low pressure will merge with a cold front on Thursday and provide showers with plenty of clouds and cold conditions during the day. We will end the workweek on a chilly note with mid 50s for highs and a very cold night heading into the weekend with around freezing Saturday morning. However, a slight moderation to the low 60s is expected for Sunday with a run for 70 by midweek next week.
