Tropical Depression Imelda continues to sit over east Texas and spin nearly stationary with us seeing on and off periods of rain through Friday. You can expect tropical downpours at times with gusty winds. As the remnants of Imelda move away from Acadiana we will dry out this weekend with only an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Fall starts on Monday and it won’t matter for us as temps will reach the 90s next week.
Hurricane Humberto remains a “fish storm” with no impact on the United States expected as it moves into the open Atlantic.
Hurricane Jerry is several days away from any impacts to the Bahamas potentially. It is expected to recurve out into the open Atlantic away from land.
There are 2 other tropical waves in the Atlantic Basin with a low chance for development in the next 2 to 5 days.
