THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN CAMERON…JEFFERSON DAVIS…SOUTHEASTERN CALCASIEU AND
SOUTHERN ALLEN PARISHES…JEFFERSON…SOUTHEASTERN HARDIN AND ORANGE
COUNTIES…

AT 237 PM CDT, DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA. BETWEEN ONE
TO FOUR INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING IS
EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE…
BEAUMONT, LAKE CHARLES, PORT ARTHUR, SULPHUR, NEDERLAND, GROVES, PORT
NECHES, VIDOR, JENNINGS, BRIDGE CITY, WESTLAKE, WELSH, IOWA, LAKE
ARTHUR, KINDER, OBERLIN, ELTON, NOME, FENTON AND REEVES.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO THREE INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN
THE WARNED AREA, ESPECIALLY FROM EASTERN CALCASIEU PARISH INTO
JEFFERSON DAVIS PARISH AND SOUTHERN ALLEN PARISH. ALTHOUGH SHOWERS
AND RAINFALL AMOUNTS HAVE LIGHTENED OVER JEFFERSON COUNTY,
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL MAY DEVELOP
LATER IN THIS AREA.
