Arrest have been made in the September 15, 2019 shooting that occurred near the intersection of Creswell and Schoolboard Ln. in Opleousas. The 15-year-old victim is still hospitalized in serious condition. Currently investigators have arrested (4) individuals in connection with the shooting. Two of the arrested are juveniles and were students of Opelousas High. Another 17-year-old student who is being charged as an adult was also booked today. An adult female is also being booked. Another juvenile student is also wanted in connection with the shooting but has not been located at this time. The shooting was the result of on an ongoing feud between students at Opelousas High that resulted in a fight that occurred on August 28, 2019. Eleven (11) students were charged regarding the fight incident. The investigation is ongoing and more arrest may be possible. All parties involved with the shooting will be charged as follows:
- Attempted First Degree Murder.
- Attempted Aggravated assault with a firearm, by drive by shooting.
- Violation of a Firearms Free zone.

- Junterious Vaughns age: 17 of Opelousas.
- Lajana Stevenson age: 19 Of Opelousas.
