Opelousas, LA (KADN)– Westminister Christian Academy trying to end a three-game winning streak and find a way into the playoffs. The Crusaders have been 4-16 the past two seasons, but they have turned things around.
Coach Clarkston’s club relying on the run this season. Coach Clarkston emphasizes to his guys when they block for each other good things happen. Still, the Crusaders’ defense has to contain Vikings quarterback Jesse Roy and his dynamic wide receivers like Keon Coleman.
“He’s a dynamic talent like 6’3 runs good routes has good hands,” Clarkston said. “He has a good frame and good hands and we don’t have anybody on our team that is 6’3.”
Opelousas Catholic only has one loss this season. However, Vikings head coach Thomas David wants his team to work on the little things before the playoffs. You always have to be sharp in a rivalry game.
“Most of these kids know each other,” Opelousas Catholic coach Thomas David said. “They play baseball and basketball with each other that kind of stuff so there is a pretty good crossover of guys knowing each other so always add to a spirited game.”
