UPDATE: I-10 West reopens after 18-wheeler chemical spill

LAFAYETTE- UPDATE: I-10 West is now back open after an 18-wheeler flipped carrying hazardous material.

An overturned 18-wheeler and chemical spill has forced police to close Interstate 10 between I-49 and Scott. Both Lafayette Fire and State Police HazMat teams are on the scene of the accident.
