We will once again see very hot temperatures today as highs soar into the mid 90s. Couple that with very high dew points and we will feel more like 106° to 112° this afternoon. Because of this, a HEAT ADVISORY will go into effect starting at 11 AM this morning. A stray shower or storm is possible, but with high pressure sitting right on top of us, rain relief is not expected.
Today: Very hot. A stray storm is possible. Heat index 105° to 112°. High: 95°
Tonight: Partly Cloudy. Muggy. Low: 78°
Saturday: Hot. Spotty showers and storms. Heat index 105° to 110°. High: 94°
Sunday: Hot. Scattered showers and storms. High: 93°
Rain chances increase throughout the weekend, however don’t cancel outdoor plans. These will be the typical pop-up showers and storms that will only last a few minutes. By next week, high pressure will still be controlling our weather, but losing its strength. Temperatures early on in the week will still be in the mid 90s, but by mid week, the intense heat breaks and we should see more normal temperatures late week. The tropics continue to remain quiet as dry air and wind shear continue to rule the Atlantic.
